At Petersburg Is Growing Inc, we believe in the power of transformation. Our newest initiative, Gang Culture 2 AgriCulture, is a groundbreaking 15-week program designed to empower teens to break free from the cycle of gang involvement and pursue a more positive, productive path. Through agriculture and community engagement, we provide these young people with opportunities to grow—both as individuals and as contributors to their community.
Gang Culture 2 AgriCulture uses hands-on farming experiences as a tool for personal growth and community healing. Participants learn valuable life skills, discover sustainable farming practices, and explore career opportunities in agriculture and entrepreneurship. By connecting teens with the land, we aim to foster resilience, self-esteem, and a sense of responsibility toward themselves and their community.
This program also provides a much-needed platform for open conversations about the realities of gang culture. Through guided discussions, teens explore the factors that lead to gang involvement and learn how to navigate away from that life toward a future full of promise and possibility.
In addition to agricultural training, Gang Culture 2 AgriCulture emphasizes community service. By working together on sustainability projects, participants actively contribute to the well-being of their neighborhoods, promoting a sense of pride and belonging.
At the heart of this initiative is the belief that everyone deserves a second chance and the tools to succeed. Through agriculture, mentorship, and community support, we are helping teens plant the seeds for a brighter future—one that is rooted in growth, resilience, and opportunity.
Join us in supporting this life-changing experience and help us continue cultivating change in our commUNITY. Together, we can transform gang culture into agriculture—one seed, one teen at a time.
